A light, coastal Western Australian honey with gentle antibacterial strength (TA10+) and a deliciously warm, berry-rich flavour — harvested in small batches from the remote Southern Yate forests.

About This Honey

SOUTHERN YATE TA10+ is a beautifully gentle and uplifting honey collected from the Southern Yate forests along Western Australia’s spectacular southern coastline — spanning Bremer Bay, Albany, Hopetoun and Esperance. These remote coastal regions produce lighter, brighter honeys compared to the deep, dark Eucalyptus varieties found further inland.

With its TA10+ rating, Southern Yate offers mild antibacterial strength suitable for everyday wellness, making it a lovely choice for those who prefer a lighter, fruitier honey with natural coastal freshness. Due to the remoteness of these forest stretches, this honey is produced only in small seasonal batches.

Warm, comforting aromas of roasted nuts and toasted walnut bread give way to flavours of rich red berry compote and homemade strawberry jam.

MGO/TA

MGO (Methylglyoxal)
Used for Manuka honey. Higher MGO levels indicate stronger antibacterial strength — from gentle everyday support to advanced immune and skin benefits.

TA (Total Activity)
Used for our Eucalyptus honeys (Jarrah, Marri, Blackbutt, Desert Mallee, etc.). TA measures the honey’s overall antibacterial strength, including natural hydrogen peroxide activity.

A higher TA rating means greater medicinal potency.

Whether TA or MGO, each measure helps you choose the right honey for your wellness needs — from daily support to targeted immune defence.

Testing
All Honey For Life honeys are independently tested at accredited laboratories, ChemCentre in Western Australia and Analytica in New Zealand to ensure purity, authenticity and medicinal strength.
